Eligibility
In order to be eligible to compete in intercollegiate athletics at
La Sierra University, within the
NAIA and
Great Southwest Athletic Conference, prospective student-athletes should consult with their respective school counselors and coaches in order to gain more information on eligibility requirements. You are also free to contact the athletic department and/or the
NAIA Eligibility Center for further information.
Eligibility Requirements for Incoming Freshmen
Incoming freshmen must meet at least TWO of the following:
- Minimum of 2.0 cumulative high school GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Graduate in the top 50% of your class
- ACT score of 18 or SAT score of 970 (Critical Reading and Math combined)
Transfer students
If you're
transferring from a two- or four-year college and never played previously in the NAIA, the Eligibility Center will determine your eligibility based on academic records received directly from the previous institution(s). Please click on the link above for complete eligibility requirements for transfer students.
All eligibility determinations are conducted by the
NAIA Eligibility Center. Student-athletes will not be allowed to participate until they have gained clearance through the
NAIA Eligibility Center.
