Brianne Talboom

Brianne Talboom

Brianne Talboom was named as the Inaugural Head Women’s Flag Football Coach and Senior Associate Athletic Director at La Sierra University in March of this year.  This is a homecoming for Talboom, as she served as the Associate Athletic Director for operations at La Sierra University from 2015-2022.

Talboom is no stranger to flag football having competed, coached and officiated for more than 25 years.  Talboom amassed an impressive 95% winning record (196-4) over her coaching tenure and looks to add to that winning record as a Golden Eagle.

Talboom is an experienced athletic administrator with over 20 years of demonstrated excellence in varied athletic settings, serving on several University, NAIA, and NCAA Committees and Boards.  She has served in many roles, including student support and retention, athletic compliance and eligibility, student conduct, human resources liaison, sports information, adjunct professor, and collegiate head women's basketball coach.  Talboom also developed and implemented a graduate assistant program and oversaw the student-athletes advisory committee.

Prior to La Sierra University, Talboom served as the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at California Lutheran University (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), an NCAA institution, serving over 600 student-athletes.

Talboom also spent time serving SDA institutions at both Loma Linda Academy (LLA) and Loma Linda University Drayson Center (LLUDC).  While at LLA, she served as a Physical Education Teacher, Assistant Athletic Director, and Head Coach for girls flag football, soccer, basketball and softball.  During her stint at LLUDC, she was part of the administration team, helping support all aspects of operations for numerous departments including, health and wellness, senior wellness, intramurals, aquatics, facilities, and reservations, events and membership services.

Talboom received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Walla Walla University (College Place, Wash.) and went on to receive a Master of Arts in Athletics Administration and Coaching from Concordia University Irvine (Irvine, Calif.), graduating Summa Cum Laude.
