Prescott, Ariz. - The men's soccer team closed out their 2014 season with a 3-2 overtime loss at Embry-Riddle University (Ariz.)
La Sierra fought their way back from a 2-0 deficit, after Tristan Korras put Embry-Riddle on top with goals in the 7th minute and the 34th minute. Kenny Bonanken trimmed the lead to 2-1, scoring an unassisted goal just 10 seconds after Korras' second goal.
Embry-Riddle took the 2-1 lead into the halftime break, before Joseph Fernandez tied the score at 2-2 with an unassisted goal of his own in the 59th minute.
At the end of regulation, the two teams remained tied, sending the match into overtime.
Embry-Riddle wasted no time, as Ryan Holtz scored the game-winning goal, on a header off a corner kick from Isaac Sanchez, just 40 seconds into the overtime period.
The Golden Eagles finish the season with a record of 3-7-1 in Cal Pac play (4-12-1 overall).
