'Three' Proves To Be No Charm For La Sierra

Santa Clarita, Calif. - The Golden Eagles women's volleyball team suffered a straight-set loss to The Master's College tonight, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20. It was the third of four scheduled matches that the two teams will play this season. So far, the Mustangs have gotten the best of the Golden Eagles in the first three meetings.

The Master's used an efficient attack during the match with 37 kills, 12 errors, and 82 total attempts, which was good for a .305 attack percentage. Allison Child led the Mustangs with 10 kills, while Ashley Kuhlman added eight kills of her own with no errors, on 17 attempts (.471 attack percentage).

Lina Semaia made the most of her chances, finishing with 14 kills, with only two errors, on 35 total attempts (.343).

Before jumping back in Cal Pac Conference play the team will play another non-conference match on Friday afternoon, when they play host to UC Santa Cruz, at 3pm. The Golden Eagles, now 2-8 overall (1-0 Cal Pac play), have not played the Banana Slugs since the 2009 season when they defeated UC Santa Cruz 3-0. The Banana Slugs currently have a record of 8-2 on the year.
