Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Panthers Dominate In Win Over Golden Eagles

Orange, Calif. - The men's basketball team found themselves steamrolled in a 102-66 loss at Chapman University (1-0). The Panthers had their way on offense, despite turning the ball over 19 times, Chapman shot over 60-percent in the game, including 47-percent from the three point line.

The Panthers finished with five players who scored in double-figures, led by James Taylor who scored 17 point and pulled down eight rebounds.

Gerald Williams led the Golden Eagles with 19 points, with Andre Marquez adding 13 points. Forward Keenan Braden tallied nine points and three rebounds in his season debut.

Chapman dominated the game in virtually every facet, including outrebounding the Golden Eagles 49-22 for the game.

La Sierra (1-3) will look to turn the page and erase tonight's disappointing loss with two games this weekend at the West Coast Baptist Tournament. On Friday afternoon, at 2:30pm, the Golden Eagles will face the host, West Coast Baptist College. That game will be followed by a 6pm match-up with Multnomah University, on Saturday night.
