La Sierra took two games from the Loggers with scores of 12-1 and 8-6.
In the first game the Golden Eagles won in a blowout fashion with the game only lasting 5 innings. This game was an all around team effort with everyone producing. Berlyn Benavides led the team with three hits and three runs. Melanie Vidaurri recorded a hit, one run and three RBI's. Klarisa Garcia, Taylor Ross and Brittney Martinez added two hits each for La Sierra.
Sarai Camacho picked up the win with an outstanding game; only giving up one run through 4 innings. The Golden Eagles finished the game with 15 hits and only one error. Puget Sound University had four hits and one error for the game.
Second game of the day saw La Sierra scored all eight runs during the first four innings of the game. The Golden Eagles survived a late rally from Puget Sound as the Loggers score all their runs on the last three innings of the game with four of them coming in on the bottom of the seventh.
At the end of three innings, La Sierra was up 4-0 on the Loggers before Pricilla Madrid went on to hit a grand slam home run to left field in the 4th inning to give the Golden Eagles a 8-0 lead. In the final inning of the game, Puget Sound felt short of a come back as the Loggers scored 4 runs in the 7th inning to finish the game 8-6.
Mackenzy Daniels picked up the win for La Sierra. Daniels allowed only five hits and two on six innings. Jackie Zacarias came in on the seventh innings to close the game for La Sierra. Zacarias allowed four hits and four runs in one innings.
La Sierra improves to a 5-2-1 record for the season.
