Lancaster, Calif. - The University of Antelope Valley, kept the Golden Eagles men's soccer team off of the scoreboard, and defeated La Sierra by a final of 3-0 in Sunday's Cal Pac match. The Pioneers used one first half goal and two second half goals to pick up their third Cal Pac win and vault ahead of the Golden Eagles in the conference standings. The Golden Eagles suffer their first loss in Cal Pac play, to fall to 2-1 (5-5 overall).
La Sierra was only able to put 2-of-6 shots on goal, while the Pioneers scored on three of their four shots on goal. Antelope Valley finished with a total of 12 shots in the match, led by forward Manual Medina who tallied a total of four shots.
The men's soccer team will return to action on Thursday evening, when they host Soka University in another Cal Pac match. The men will play at 7pm, after the conclusion of the women's match. The Lions are currently 2-2 in conference play and 6-5 overall
