The softball team split two doubleheaders, played over a 2-day span, versus the University of Antelope Valley. This past Friday the Golden Eagles lost both games, before coming back on Sunday morning to sweep the second doubleheader. The team's win total improved to 14-19-1 overall and 6-4 in Cal Pac play, with Sunday's victories.

In the second game of the day, the Golden Eagles found themselves playing catch-up early, after the Pioneers scored eight runs in the top half of the second inning. La Sierra – 13, UAV – 0
Sunday proved to be a different story for the Golden Eagles who dominated at the plate and on the pitcher's mound. The team jumped all over the Pioneers in Game 1, with seven runs in the first inning, and two runs in each of the following three innings, making quick work of Antelope Valley who were held to just four hits. Sarai Camacho pitched all five innings to pick up the victory. Aimee Rodriguez and Vannessa Froussine each led the way with three hits. Froussine led the team with four RBI's, with Roe and Rodriguez each tallying two RBI's in the win. The team finished with 10 hits, which was the third straight contest the team finished in double-digits in the hits column.
La Sierra – 9, UAV – 3
In what looked like another quick victory for the Golden Eagles, the team jumped out to an early 6-0 lead with three runs in each of the first two innings. Antelope Valley regrouped, getting two runs back in the top of the third inning, followed by a single run in the fourth inning. But it wasn't enough to catch the Golden Eagles.
The team will play their final two home games of the season, on Monday afternoon, April 9, in a rescheduled doubleheader from March 11. The team will host Embry-Riddle University at 2pm, to finalize a series the two teams had to cut short due to rain.
