Santa Barbara, Calif. - The men's soccer team fell to 1-2 on the season after dropping a 4-0 decision to #22 Westmont College. The Warriors scored two goals, in each half, and controlled play form much of the match. The Golden Eagles return home, on Thursday, in an attempt to even their record.
It was a reversal of scripts for the Golden Eagles, who defeated St. Katherine University, 4-0, last Sunday evening for their first win of the season. Westmont College flipped the script and controlled the ball for the large majority of the match. The Warriors outshot the Golden Eagles 20-1 on total shots and 9-1 in shots on goal.
The men's soccer team will return home, this coming Thursday, when the Golden Eagles play the second match of a men's and women's doubleheader, versus Bethesda University. The women's match is scheduled for a 6pm kick-off, followed by the men's match, at 8pm.
