The Hawks' Anekka Guy led all players with 20 kills in the match. Krumm led the Golden Eagles with 18 kills on 60 total attempts, just three less than Guy's 63 attempts. Mariah Morris also saw action for a total of 14 kills. Ramirez continued her efficient play with eight kills and only one attack error. Four different Golden Eagles had double-digit figures in the dig category, led by Trinity Wyscarver and Krumm who had 15 digs apiece, followed by Ayana Felton (14 digs) and Photias (13 digs). Despite the loss, the team did notch a season-high with 11 total team blocks.
The women's volleyball team will jump back into action on Thursday morning, on Day 2 of the tournament, with a 10am match against Walla Walla University. The Wolves lost both of their match, on Day 1, dropping to 0-4 on the season. Thursday's match will be the first match between the two programs since they last met, on September 7, 2011, which resulted in a straight set win for the Golden Eagles.
