Riverside, Calif. - Looking to build on Sunday's victory over St. Katherine, the Golden Eagles were forced to settle for a tie, against #22 Arizona Christian University, in Thursday's non-conference match. The match didn't just finish in a tie, but a scoreless tie. The team's record now stands at 1-0-1 on the season.

The match was virtually even throughout. Neither team was able to find the back of the net, but each team had some great scoring opportunities through 110 minutes of play. Each team finished with a total of 10 shots, with the Firestorm holding a 3-2 advantage in shots on goal. Needless to say both team's defense made things difficult on the opposing team's offense

Next Up: The men's soccer team will now set their sights on San Diego Christian College. The Golden Eagles will host the Hawks for a non-conference match, next Wednesday, August 28. The Hawks hold an advantage of two wins (4-2-1), through seven meetings between the two teams, dating back to 2010. The Golden Eagles got the best of the Hawks in last year's match, by defeating the Hawks, 4-1. Wednesday's match will kick off at approximately 8pm.
