Senior Spotlight: Sydney Jackson

RIVERSIDE, Calif.- Senior Sydney Jackson celebrates his senior night have two years at La Sierra. The guard chose to wear number 1 for his time at La Sierra. In his first season with the Golden Eagles, Sydney appeared in 10 games for a total of 87 minutes. He totaled 21 points for a shooting percentage of 46.7 FG%, 66.7 3-PT%, and a 62.5 FT%. He also adds 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Although Jackson has not played this year, he has been supporting his team on the sidelines at games and practices.

When Syndey graduates, he will earn his MBA in Business Management. His future goals include wanting to play pro basketball, continue his work in security around California, and to find a good job with his master's degree that involves basketball. He choose to come to La Sierra, because it is in California, which he had never been to, to play basketball, and to network. He is most going to miss the fact that everybody pushes you and makes sure you maximize your full potential, and that people will always help you when you need it.

Jackson describes his time at La Sierra as, "Very different, but great experience and great people."

Let's all congratulate and thank Sydney Jackson for all his accomplishments and hard work on and off the court. We wish you all the best and can't wait to see where life takes you.

Q: What is your favorite sport memory at La Sierra?

Sydney Jackson: My memory is just being with my guys everyday working hard , traveling together and just having fun.

Q: How long have you been playing this sport and how did you get into playing this sport?

SJ: I been playing basketball since I was 7 years old and I got into it by just seeing other people play when I was young.

Q: Who is your biggest influence?

SJ: My family mom, dad, Sisters, and brother

Q: Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals?

SJ: To get a good prayer in and make sure my team is ready.

Q: What is your perfect pre-game meal?

SJ: Peanut butter and jelly or pasta.

Q: Go to pump up song or music?

SJ: Lil Baby, Nba Youngboy

Q: Do you like to get hyped before games or stay calm?

SJ: Hyped

Q: What do you enjoy doing on your off days?

SJ: Sleeping and working out in the weightroom.

Q: Who on the team are you closest with?

SJ: Im close with everybody of course but it would be my boy Wes since we are both from South Carolina. And Luke, Lano, and Brandon are my close bros to my I love all my teammates no doubt.

Q: Who is your favorite sports team/player?

SJ: Los Angeles Lakers

Q: What are five things you can't live without?

SJ: Water, family, money, education, street intelligence

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

MO: Video games, skating, dancing, clubbing, traveling

Q: What is your most unique talent?

SJ: I can walk on my hands

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

SJ: Anywhere out of the country

SJ: Rush hour series and Martin
