RIVERSIDE - David Odinigwe celebrates his senior night after spending his last season as a Golden Eagle. The forward previously played three seasons before becoming a Golden Eagle.
In his rookie season, he scored 11 points with 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 blocks. His next two seasons were spent at University of Saint Katherine where he scored 41 points, 52 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 14 blocks. In the next season, he scored 41 points with 40 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 9 blocks. This season as a Golden Eagle, he's scored 156 points with 92 rebounds, 17 assists, 17 steals, and 8 blocks. In his career, he totals 249 points, 193 rebounds, 29 assists, 27 steals, and 35 blocks.
Some academic awards David has earned include being the Valedictorian for his undergrad at University of Saint Katherine. He's also earned the Cal Pac All Academic Award and Daktronics Scholar Athlete. At La Sierra, he has been awarded athletically the Cal Pac Defensive Player of the Week award and Golden Eagle of the Week.
David is currently studying to receive his MBA in Finance. In the future, he plans to continue his basketball career overseas then will become a Certified Financial Planner.

Question: What was your favorite sports memory at La Sierra?
David Odinigwe: When we subbed in the freshman and watched them try to score against Pacific Union College.
Q: How long have you been playing this sport and how did you get into playing this sport?
DO: I started playing basketball in the 8th grade, I was just asked to play because I was tall. I would say around my sophomore-junior year is when I started to really like basketball.
Q: Who is your biggest influence?
DO: Jesus Christ first and foremost, but living influence is David Goggins.
Q: Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals?
DO:
I always pray before a game and foam roll after I change.
Q: What is your perfect pre-game meal?
DO: Definitely chicken and rice.
Q: Go to pump up song or music?
DO: The Way I Am- Eminem
Q: What do you enjoy doing on your days off?
DO: Hanging out with friends, watching movies, and being outdoors.
Q: Who is your favorite sports team/player?
DO: Kevin Durant and everywhere he goes.
Q: What are five things you can't live without?
DO: My bible, my family, phone, glasses/contacts, and my foam roller.
