El Cajon, Calif. - San Diego Christian (4-0) stayed undefeated on the season with a 2-0 shutout of the Golden Eagles (0-2). Borja Suarez factored in on both Hawks goals, with a goal and an assist. But the story of the day was the Hawks stifling defense, which held the Golden Eagles without a shot on goal for the match.

Pedro Henrique put the Hawks on the board with a goal in the 26th minute, assisted by Suarez on a crossing pass. San Diego Christian took the 1-0 lead into the half and added to the lead late in the 2nd half. Suarez scored an insurance goal in the 79th minute, on an assist from Francisco Ramirez.

The Hawks outshot the Golden Eagles 20-6 for the match, including 8-0 in shots on goal.

La Sierra will open the Cal Pac Conference season this coming Wednesday (7:00pm) when they travel to Soka University (0-1). Both teams will be looking for their first win of the season. Soka's only match of the season resulted in a 2-0 loss to San Diego Christian, on August 19.
