La Sierra Loses to Bethesda University

The Golden Eagles dropped its first home game of the season as the Flames beat La Sierra 10-2 on Friday. Bethesda University had a strong hitting performance as they finished the game with 14 hits, La Sierra finished the game with eight hits.

First half of the game was very close as Bethesda led by one-run on the Golden Eagles going into the sixth inning. The Flames would score a run during the sixth inning to take a 3-1 lead at the end of six. Seventh inning proof to be the deciding inning of the game as the Flames would score five runs. Mario Gonzalez started the inning or the Flames with a double down left field. Jarett Sotolongo bunted and reached first on a base hit. Silvestre Sanchez hit a sac fly to bring Gonzalez in for the first run of the inning. Ramirez, Mccrea, Munoz, and Velasquez added a run each for the Flames.

John Uselton scored for the Golden Eagles on the seventh to bring the score 8-2 in favor of Bethesda University. The Flames would add two more runs during the ninth inning.

The Golden Eagles will look to bounce back on Sunday as they host Bethesda University again for a DH starting at 11:00am.
