Vallejo, Calif. - The women's soccer team completed their road trip with a 6-0 victory over first-year program, California State University – Maritime. The Golden Eagles scored five of their six goals in the second half alone and improved to 5-1 on the season. La Sierra also pushed their Cal Pac record to 2-0, after opening the conference season with a 2-1 win over Sierra Nevada College on Thursday afternoon.

Marissa Gonzalez had a hat-trick, scoring goals in the 5th, 68th, and 70thminute. Yasmin Montelongo added two goals and an assist, while Emily Pedroza scored the other goal in the win. Marisol Bravo and Jennifer Medina were awarded with assists on two of Gonzalez's goals.

The Golden Eagles kept Monick Powers, the Keelhaulers goalkeeper, busy all afternoon. Powers did allow six goals but finished with a total of 20 saves on the afternoon. La Sierra sent 49 shots toward the goal with a total of 26 shots finding their target.

The team will now have a week to prepare for their next match. The Golden Eagles will travel to the University of Antelope Valley, on Sunday afternoon, for their next conference match-up. Sunday's game is set for a 12:30pm start time.
