GLENDORA, Calif. — October 23, 2025 — La Sierra University stormed to a 5–3 victory over Life Pacific, riding a blistering first half and a composed response to a late Warriors push.
With the result, La Sierra now has points in its last five matches, holding atop the GSAC.
The Golden Eagles seized control early, punching in three first-half goals—
Carlos Leon opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Four minutes later
Elias Quintanar Macias added to the lead, followed up with
Vinicius Goncalves adding his first in the 11th to take a 3–1 lead into the break.
Life Pacific clawed back in the second half, equalizing the game at three apiece, but La Sierra answered with poise.
Goncalves completed his brace in the 69th minute—the eventual game-winner—and
continues his hot streak with goals in three straight matches.
The attack flowed through multiple creators, with assists credited to
Sean Palena (2), Alvaro Romero, Jonathan Arriaga, and a sharp service from
Quintanar Macias.
On the back line, goalkeepers
Abraham Perez and
Saul Lucero combined to steady the result as La Sierra closed out its tenth win of the year. The Golden Eagles improve to
10–3–1.
