Riverside, Calif. - In the first release of the Rating Performance Index (RPI) for Flag Football, La Sierra has been ranked 9th in the country. 
La Sierra is one of 2 schools on the West Coast to crack the top 10 on the first rating. The RPI is updated once a week, for four weeks during the Flag Football season. 
The RPI is a formula used to rank teams based on winning percentage, opponent strength of schedule, and opponents strength. The rating system is utilized to help create ranking not just off of overall record. RPI is often used to seed teams when making playoff brackets.
