Santa Barbara, Calif. - The Golden Eagles baseball team scored four unanswered runs in the final two innings, but it wasn't enough to catch the Warriors, as Westmont defeated La Sierra, 9-4, in Tuesday's non-conference game. The loss drops the Golden Eagles record to 6-4 on the season, while the Warriors improve to 8-1. La Sierra will return to action next week.

The Warriors built a 9-0 lead with three 3-run innings, before the Golden Eagles got on the scoreboard themselves with three runs in the eighth and a run in the ninth inning.

Matt Majher drove in three runs with a double in the eighth inning, capping off a 2-for-4 game, tying David Roman who also finished the game by going 2-for-4. The two players accounted for four of the team's seven total hits.

La Sierra will be out of action for a week and a half. They will return to action on Friday, February 16, when they host St. Katherine College for doubleheader starting at 11am.
