RIVERSIDE - Breonna Martinez was named the California Pacific Conference Newcomer of the Year and four Golden Eagle women's basketball players earned postseason honors at the Cal Pac Championship Tournament banquet on Thursday Night.
The five Golden Eagles earned first team and champion of character awards.
Martinez was named to the First Team All-Conference team on top of her Newcomer of the Year Award.
Kaydn Mew and Sonia Randall were recognized on the First Team All-Conference team. Gabby Valdez received the Champion of Character award.
Martinez was the Golden Eagles second leading scorer this season with 215 points. She has a season high of 22 points in a single game this year. In conference play she ranks 6th in points scored with 121, and ranks 11th during the overall season. Breonna has 12 games with over 10 points.
