RIVERSIDE - Breonna Martinez was named the California Pacific Conference Newcomer of the Year and four Golden Eagle women's basketball players earned postseason honors at the Cal Pac Championship Tournament banquet on Thursday Night.

The five Golden Eagles earned first team and champion of character awards.

Martinez was named to the First Team All-Conference team on top of her Newcomer of the Year Award.

Kaydn Mew and Sonia Randall were recognized on the First Team All-Conference team. Gabby Valdez received the Champion of Character award.

Martinez was the Golden Eagles second leading scorer this season with 215 points. She has a season high of 22 points in a single game this year. In conference play she ranks 6th in points scored with 121, and ranks 11th during the overall season. Breonna has 12 games with over 10 points. Other stats include 70 rebounds, 34 assists, and 40 steals.

Mew was the Golden Eagles leading scorer this season with 251 points. In conference play she ranks 4th in points scored with 146, and ranks 5th during the overall season. Kaydn has a season high of 32 points this season. She has one game with a double double. Other stats include 88 rebounds, 55 assists, and 29 steals.

Sonia was the Golden Eagles third leading scorer this season with 200 points. In conference play she ranks 10th in points scored with 113, and ranks 12th during the overall season. In the overall season and in conference play, Sonia ranks second in conference in rebounds with 206 and 115. She has 7 double digit games, and 6 games where she earned a double double. She also has 7 games where she shot over 50% from the field. Other stats include 19 assists, 30 steals, and 6 blocks.

Valdez only appeared in one game this season where she played for nine minutes and made two field goals and one free throw. She also had two rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Due to injury, Gabby was a leading component on the sidelines for the Golden Eagles.
