RIVERSIDE - Women's basketball prepares to tackle the postseason by facing Simpson University as their first opponent. The match will prove to be thrilling with a record of 1-1 against each other this season.

Women's basketball ends the year with a conference record of 7-3 and a season record of 11-10. They fell into the second seeding position where they will face the number three seed. The winner of this game will advance to the championship game to play either the number one seed UC Merced or the number four seed Westcliff University.

Earlier in the year, women's basketball fell to the Red Hawks 51-60. The Golden Eagles provided impressive numbers throughout the game, but came up short in the fourth quarter. In the Golden Eagles most recent victory, they defeated Simpson 69-54. The momentum from this victory will carry the Golden Eagles well into playoffs.

This year, the Cal Pac Championship Tournament will be hosted at UC Merced. Women's Basketball will take the first game of the day Friday, February 28 at 12:30 pm. The Championship game will be held Sunday, March 2 at 1:00 pm.

Prior to game day Friday, the Golden Eagles will attend an awards banquet where the conference awards will be given.
