RIVERSIDE - Alexis Cook celebrates her senior year after being a dedicated Golden Eagle. The centerfielder has been a leader on the field over the years. Her freshman year she added 21 hits with 21 runs, 4 doubles, 8 RBIs, 14 walks, and 14 stolen bases. Her sophomore year included 29 hits with 21 runs, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 12 RBIs, 13 walks, and 4 stolen bases. In her junior season, she added 26 hits, 21 runs, 7 doubles, 7 RBIs, 14 walks, and 7 stolen bases. This season, she totals 32 hits, 23 runs, 8 doubles, 10 RBIs, 17 walks, and 4 stolen bases. This season Cook also surpassed 100 career hits. In her career, she totals 108 hits, 84 runs, 24 doubles, 2 triples, 37 RBIs, 58 walks, and 29 stolen bases. Her career fielding totals 294 putouts with 19 assists.
The four year senior is completing her degree in Liberal Studies. She plans on getting a Master's Degree in Special Education to become a one on one at home Special Education Teacher. Some awards she received was the Cal Pac All Defensive Center Fielder as a Freshman, and Honorable Mention and All Academic Team as a Sophomore and a Junior.
Cook describes her experience at La Sierra; “My time here at La Sierra has been very memorable. I was blessed with an amazing group of girls to come into the college experience with and I have the opportunity to also graduate with them. I have created many lifelong friendships, bonds and memories that will stick with me forever both on and off the field. I'm so grateful to have spent my four years here at La Sierra.”

Question: What was your favorite sports memory at La Sierra?
Alexis Cook: My favorite memory at la Sierra was my junior year when we gave Emery Riddle their first loss in conference.
Q: How long have you been playing this sport and how did you get into playing this sport?
AC: I started playing softball when I was 4 years old. I always got to watch my two older brothers play baseball and it made me want to be just like them. I haven't stopped playing since.
Q: Who is your biggest influence?
AC: My parents are my biggest influence in my life. They constantly encourage me to want the best for myself as well as always provide me with the things I need in order to achieve my goals. They constantly remind me to trust gods plan and the future he has in store for me.
Q: Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals?
AC:
One of my superstitions is that I always have to get a pink drink from Starbucks. I also have to listen to my walkup song as my last song before getting out of my car or getting out of the van.
Q: What is your perfect pre-game meal?
AC: A chicken sandwich from Jack in the Box with a pink drink from Starbucks
Q: Go to pump up song or music?
AC: My go to song would be my walk up song "Over" By Drake.
Q: What do you enjoy doing on your days off?
AC: One of my favorite things to do on my day off is to spend time with my family at my niece's games.
Q: Who is your favorite sports team/player?
AC: My favorite player is my niece Leia Cook :)
