RIVERSIDE - La Sierra men's soccer becomes the first team to clinch a berth in the 2025 GSAC Men's Soccer Championship – accomplishing the feat in their debut season in the conference.

The Golden Eagles record stands at 8-3 in conference play and 10-3-1 overall. They lead the conference by two points and are currently the only team clinched for the postseason. Men's soccer are on a five game win streak with two more regular season games left to play. They began conference play perfectly with three wins under their belt before dropping three games in a row in a one-point decision. The Golden Eagles were near perfect in preseason play with three wins and one tie. On the season, they also have three shutouts.

As a team they total 45 goals on an average of 15.9 shots-per game with 29 assists.

The 2025 men's soccer team consists of seven freshmen, six transfers, and nine returners.

Vinny, as the team calls him, has also been a huge contributing factor in the five game win streak. He has six goals in the last three games including a hat trick in the 5-3 win over Hope. That victory and his two goals against Life Pacific earned him the game winning goals.

Freshman Abraham Perez has proved himself in goal in his rookie season. He's appeared and started in all 14 games. Perez has back-to-back games where he had nine saves apiece, their lone tie against Claremont and the win against Nobel. He has three shutout games in goal. His season total for saves is 49 averaging only 1.38 goals against per game. As a goalkeeper, he has four wins.
