Sean Palena Named GSAC Player of the Week

RIVERSIDE - The Great Southwest Athletic Conference has announced its Players of the Week following standout performances from the week of September 22-28.

Sean Palena has been on fire, fueling La Sierra's perfect start to GSAC play with a dominant four-game goal streak. The senior midfielder netted nine goals over the last four matches, including two game-winners and an assist, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous attacking threats in the conference. This past week, Palena scored once in a 5-1 win over Life Pacific and followed it up with a brace and an assist in a 4-1 victory over The Master's. He currently leads La Sierra with a .429 shot percentage and is averaging 1.5 goals per game in GSAC play.

On the year, Palena totals 10 goals with 4 assists and 3 game winners.
